We are a guesthouse nestled on the hills of Ploiești, right in the heart of Prahova’s wine region, near the famous Wine Route. 🍇 Our location offers not only a place to rest, but also an authentic journey through a landscape rich in history and tradition. At Vasiloaica Estate, we promise a distinctive atmosphere where every detail reflects the harmony between old and new, offering a memorable and comforting experience.
The story
The story of Mosia Vasiloaica began with a simple dream, filled with hope.
Mrs. Vasiloaica and her husband always wished for a place of their own—
a corner of nature where they could feel true peace. Her husband was the one who took the decisive step:
he bought a hill, Dealul Frumos (“The Beautiful Hill”), in Pleasa.
During the Second World War, when Ploiești was being bombed,
the Vasiloaica family would take shelter here, on Dealul Frumos—
far from the chaos, close to nature, and close to God.
The people of the village knew them as a hardworking and dignified family,
with deep respect for the land and for honest work. Even later, during the communist period, Mrs. Vasiloaica—already elderly—
would still go to the vineyard and return by bus from Pleașa,
carrying a cloth bag full of fruit.
She brought them lovingly to her four children,
so that they would never lack anything.
This is how the spirit of Moșia Vasiloaica was born — from love for family, for the land, and for a life lived with purpose.

- Relaxation: We want to inspire a sense of calm and tranquility, both physically and mentally. Our 20,000 sqm garden offers a true opportunity to "listen" to nature. Our neighbors include the rolling hills, squirrels and rabbits, the deciduous forest, and the vast vineyards.
- Responsibility: We are energy sustainable—our electricity is "borrowed" from the sun, our water comes from a drilled well, we treat wastewater, and heating and cooling are efficiently managed with a heat pump.

We generate our own electricity to cover our consumption. We have photovoltaic panels with an installed capacity of 20 kW and have obtained prosumer certification. Our domestic water comes from a well drilled over 100 meters deep, which we filter and soften for safe use. We have a wastewater treatment plant and a septic tank to manage residual water. Heating and cooling are powered electrically using a central heating system, a heat pump with fan coil units, and air conditioning systems.
